A singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Hannah plays clawhammer banjo, Apallachian oldtime fiddle, ukulele and guitar.
Her work as a singer-songwriter earned her the Canadian Folk Music Award for Traditional Singer of the Year (2017) and a nomination for the same award in 2024.
Hannah’s voice has appeared on many children’s albums: Hannah’s first children’s album, “Savez-vous plantez des choux?” (2002), was distributed to more than 10,000 babies across Ontario as part of the Early Years Literacy Kit. Her children’s albums earned her two Canadian Folk Music Award nominations, a SiriusXM Indie Award, and a 2012 Parents’ Choice Gold Award.
Hannah has been leading classes, workshops and performing concerts for over 20 years. Hannah has been sharing her love of music and dance with the Huntsville community since moving to town in 2020. From library concerts to HFA classes, community dances, and Music & Dance Camp. Hannah is pleased to be joining the staff at Muskoka Music Centre and looks forward to sharing the joy of music with students of all levels and abilities!
